‘THOR’ STAR TOM HIDDLESTON CHOOSES A SIDE IN ‘CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR’

Fan favorite Loki will not reappear until “Thor 3: Ragnarok,” but the supervillain is choosing sides in the battle between Steve Rogers/Captain America and Tony Stark/Iron Man. The actor that portrays him on the big screen spoke about which side Loki will support in “Captain America: Civil War.”

“He’s clearly on Team Loki,” Tom Hiddleston told Yahoo! Movies. “They were all fairly unkind to him in ‘The Avengers,’ so I’m not sure he would be taking sides. I think he would be sitting on a rooftop somewhere enjoying the fact that the children are squabbling. Going, ‘Ah! This is entertaining.'”

Tom Hiddleston is currently promoting the biopic “I Saw The Light” wherein he stars alongside Elisabeth Olsen, the actress who plays Scarlet Witch in “Civil War.” The British villain’s co-star and romantic lead joins Team Cap in the movie, but that does not seem to sway Hiddleston toward the decision to side with Steve Rogers. Loki’s brother Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) will also not participate in the “squabble.”

“Captain America: Civil War” will land on the big screen on May 16. Meanwhile, “Thor: Ragnarok” will premiere in 2017.

Is ‘Batman v Superman’ One Of The Worst Superhero Movies? 8 Other Disappointing Titles.....

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” was one of the most anticipated superhero movies of the year, but the reception for the DC film has not been very good. Since it’s release, negative reviews have been pouring in for the epic clash between Superman (Henry Cavill) and Batman (Ben Affleck).

The movie currently holds a 29 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and Jen Yamtao of the Daily Beast said “When you walk away from the terminally unfocused ‘Batman v Superman’ with no desire to see another Batman or Superman story ever again, someone up the chain has made a terrible mistake.” Despite negative reviews, the movie holds a 7.5 rating on IMDb and some comic book fans have walked out of the theater happy with what they saw.

Although the film has mixed reviews, it was able to bring in $424 million globally during its first five days of release, according to BBC News. In the U.S., the film took in $170.1 million at the box office, which is a record for a March release.

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has received many negative reviews, but it's not one of the worst superhero movies ever made.
